Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy covers the KANIT Android application and the use of its features. It does not describe account, profile, advertising or financial activities that do not exist in the application or on mucize.org.

About KANIT
KANIT is a free Android application developed for research and analysis of the Quranic text. The Mushaf text, letter, word and verse analysis, and core search features operate from application data stored on the device.
The application has no user account or membership system, advertising, in-app purchases or financial features. It does not ask users for a name, surname or similar profile information.

What Data May Be Processed?
No user account or personal profile data is created for local Mushaf viewing, search or analysis. The camera feature is optional and currently in Beta.
If a user chooses to photograph a Mushaf page or select an image from the device gallery, that image may be processed and transmitted to the third-party infrastructure described below in order to estimate the corresponding verse range.

Camera and Gallery Access
The camera or gallery is used only when the user explicitly starts the feature and grants the required permission.
The application does not activate the camera in the background or scan other gallery images on its own. The user chooses which image is processed for verse-range estimation.

Use of Firebase AI / Gemini
A Mushaf image selected from the camera or gallery may be sent to Firebase AI / Gemini infrastructure to estimate the corresponding verse or verse range in the Quran. This transfer occurs only when the user explicitly uses the feature.
Images may be shared with the relevant service provider solely to perform the verse-matching operation requested by the user. Data processing by third-party providers is governed by their own privacy policies.
KANIT does not claim that images are deleted immediately or never stored where the provider’s retention period has not been independently verified.

Purpose of Processing
The selected image is processed to estimate the verse or verse range associated with the Mushaf page and present that result to the user. KANIT does not use the image to display advertising, create a user profile or conduct a financial transaction.

Third-Party Services
The optional visual-matching feature may use Firebase AI / Gemini services supplied by Google. Data processed by those services is subject to Google’s and Firebase’s own terms.

Data Retention and Deletion
KANIT has no user-account or personal-profile database. Users may remove local application data through Android’s clear-data feature or by uninstalling the application.
Retention, processing and deletion of images sent to Firebase AI / Gemini, and of any technical data produced during that operation, are governed by the service provider’s applicable terms. The official privacy resources below provide further information.

Children’s Privacy
KANIT does not knowingly request names, surnames or profile information from children and provides no child-specific membership system. Parents or legal guardians are encouraged to guide children when they use the optional camera and gallery feature.

Security
The application’s local functions are separated from the optional online image-matching function. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are considered in protecting data. Nevertheless, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when application features or the services used change. The current text and the date of the latest update will always be published on this page.
